Water service for wild animals: A progressive initiative* In my gram panchayat Lambi Ahir, an important initiative has been taken to ensure water service to the animals living in the forest. Under this social initiative, I have built water ponds in the forest through MGNREGA, so that the wild animals can get access to proper and permanent water.Process and Decision* Before starting this initiative, we observed the water situation in the forest and assessed the water scarcity of wild animals. Next, we determined which animals lived in which areas and gathered more information about their health and water access. After this, we built water ponds in the forest under MGNREGA. These ponds provide accurate and permanent water service to wild animals. Cleaning of the ponds and maintaining constant water supply is done regularly by Aditri Foundation. Benefits In this support work we have ensured correct and sustainable water service for wild animals. This will improve the health and nutrition of the animals, and improve their lifestyle. Along with this, the biodiversity of the forest will also be protected which is our natural heritage. termination All the associates and team have an important contribution in the success of this social service project.
